Current research

I am working with Marcelo Arenas and Claudio Gutierrez in a project titled SPARQL for RDF data with RDFS vocabulary and blank nodes: semantics, complexity and implementation (FONDECYT grant No. 1090565).

I presented an overview of the project at the Alberto Mendelzon Workshop on May 15th, 2009 in Arequipa, Peru. The title of the work was Understanding the structure of RDF data: A practical study. Both the extended abstract and the slides are available on PDF.

Research interests

I have a great liking for the following topics, which I don't necessarily know:

Logic
Finite model theory, 0-1 laws, equivalence to complexity classes.
Graphs
Random graphs, phase transition.
Algebra
Group theory and its relation to logic. Relation between algebraic structures and formal languages.

Who I am

I am an undergraduate student of Mathematics at Universidad Católica de Chile, with strong interest in Computer Science.
